 UNDERSTANDING
that God would have "all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of truth" and that Christ's death fully saves us from sins penalty. Not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world which places the responsibility and privlege upon us as Christians to share this message with the world. Letter from Rudy and Lorraine Johnson... Dear Friends, We have had a busy 2 weeks. First we had a medical team from Tennessee that attended to over 500 people in our community in 4 days. They showed the Jesus film and gave out Gospel tracts while people were waiting. Then, we had a youth group from California with us for a week. All were a great blessing. Last Friday night we had a Sports Event in our Community Sports Complex. There were 18 soccer teams to register, plus several volley and basketball teams. It was so big that we are going to have to do it again in 2 weeks, so that all teams can participate. We closed with a good devotion and will do the same at the next event. Please pray for us. Rudy and Lorraine Johnson Letter from the Davis... Dear Pastor Black and Church, We had a long winter and cool spring, but thankfully, summer is finally here. We even needed the fans blowing a couple of nights last week. It is warm in the sun today, but there is a cool wind blowing off the ocean. The last three years have been similar to the season. Joyce and I are glad the "winter of illness" is past and in God's perfect timing, the "summer of wellness" has arrived. There are some lingering reminders of the seasons just past that remind us to be thankful for the health we have. Every day is a blessing from the Lord. Likewise, Chinese Tabernacle Baptist Church has gone through these seasons too. It is so good to see the summer of God 's blessing arriving at church. Just as new life is a sign of the promise of spring and summer, souls being saved are a sign that God's warmth of blessing have arrived. Three adults from mainland China were saved and baptized last month. They are all eagerly going through Christian growth classes now. The future is as bright as the promises of God. Through all the seasons of life we have tried to stay faithful to God's calling and He has blessed us. You are part of that blessing. Thank you for your faithfulness.
